Broomfield (CO), August 21, 1999:
Experimental musical group 404 Not Found has released their
latest album entitled Eclectronic. A collage of electronic
composition and spoken-word dialog, Eclectronic is an
intriguing, amusing, and refreshing new sound in the music
industry. Several tracks, such as "Every City", incorporate
original poetry into the melody. Other tracks, such as "Space
Creatures" and "Mongoloid Think Tank", include prose and spoken
sampling amidst a background of unique electronic arrangement.
Eclectronic is the result of a compilation of all genres of
electronica - from ambience to house to progressive dance - with
an entertaining sense of humor.
404 Not Found has enjoyed a cult following since the release of
their first album, Something is Wrong, in 1997. Since then, 404
Not Found has been hailed as "the future of music as we know it"
(The Gazette) and as
"one of the most interesting avant-garde electronica/experimental
projects I have ever suscepted my ears to"
(Steve Steffler of
Equatorial). Eclectronic is by far their most ambitious
project to date.
Todd Bradley, founder of 404 Not Found, produced the album at his
private recording studio, the A7 Audio Research Lab, using
personal funds to print and distribute Eclectronic. A
collaboration of artists and musicians from around the world,
Eclectronic is part of a growing movement to compose, produce,
release, and distribute music independently over the Internet.
Eclectronic can be purchased online at
