another reason to love Firefox: DoH

Ever heard of DNS-over-HTTPS? I hadn’t, but the engineers at Firefox have been working hard to implement it in their web browser. It’s another way they’re fighting the good fight to make the web secure.

Here is their page explaining how it works: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-dns-over-https

If you use Firefox and live in the US, this will be enabled automatically for you. And if you don’t use Firefox, you should.

  1. I bought a new laptop less than a year ago, and bought it because the OS (PureOS) was focused on keeping out the bad stuff. When I first brought up the OS, it came only with a browser that extended FF, but after a recent update, they transitioned to solely FF, because of this and a few other changes (I didn’t dig, so I’m not sure exactly what they are).
