I made great progress today on the portable recording system. Since Beth and I won’t be needing these anymore, we’re giving them to charity.

I now have a new PC called Ahi. It’s a vpr Matrix 200A5 instead of the 185A5. The Firewire port works. Hurray! Also, I went in for my 10 day eye checkup. They told me my vision is progressing normally, and the problems with night vision I’m having are normal. I’ll go back in another… Continue reading Untitled

Oh, one other thing I wanted to mention but forgot: I read on page 061 of Wired 03|2003 about a CD called “Xerophonics: Copying Machine Music” which is music made from the sound of photocopy machines. I did a web search and found some songs to download on MP3.com. In reading the little blurb there… Continue reading Untitled

Web site design UK, webdesign lab – Check this out. You too can play the monkey’s uncle game. It’s pretty funny. Thanks to my friend Chad for the link. In other news, Beth had Lasik surgery yesterday. So we’ve gone from an “8 eyes” household to just 4. We’ll donate our old glasses to charity,… Continue reading Untitled

I’m making some slow progress getting Ahi set up for music. I was playing around with Cakewalk SONAR 2.2 on the new PC yesterday and found there was an undesireable delay between when I pressed the Play button (or, in my case, the space bar) and when SONAR actually started playing music. It wasn’t just… Continue reading Untitled

It’s Saturday morning. A lot has happened this week! I worked Monday through Wednesday, but took Thursday and Friday off. Why? Because I went in for eye surgery Thursday at 12:30. I got Lasik done on both eyes at Insight Lasik in Lafayette, then took off the rest of the week to recover. It wasn’t… Continue reading Untitled

I’m up early. My back was sore so I got out of bed and have been updating my website. In particular, I added some stuff to the page about my notebook DAW (Ahi). Have no idea what I’m talking about? Well, see here. Now I’m gonna go install a bunch of software on Ahi.
