I read a news article earlier this week based on an interview with Al Gore, and I’m increasingly impressed with the guy. Plus, last week I read that John McCain was the only Republican to vote for a bill that would gut the special interest riders on the terrorism bill that was ultimately passed. That’s just the latest in a string of events that’s been making me respect McCain more and more. He seems to have real integrity. So yesterday, I decided the President/Vice President ticket I want to see next year is Gore/McCain. Think they’d ever team up? I really doubt it, since politics seems to go counter to the “the whole is greater than the sum of the parts” philosophy. But anyhow, I would vote for Gore/McCain and possibly even McCain/Gore.
In other news, Beth leaves town tomorrow for the Fall 2002 Traditional Support Caravan. She’s taking food and supplies to a group of Navajo families living (illegally) on what is now considered the Hopi reservation. So I’ve got the house to myself for the next week! I’m hoping to watch a few movies and write and record some new music.
