It’s interesting how views of marriage differ throughout the world. Here in America, the predominant opinion seems to be that marriage between anything but one living adult man and one living adult woman is a threat to the sanctity of the institution of marriage. (as if an institution that’s thousands of years old is somehow in danger and needs our urgent protection)
But in India, they’re canceling dog weddings, not because it’s somehow an affront to the institution or even a violation of religious customs, but because it’s cruel to the dogs. I love it!
