Have I mentioned that the best salad bar in all of Denver is located at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science‘s cafeteria? I know – it’s hard to believe! But it’s true. The salad bar at the museum has really good fresh greens, an assortment of meat toppings for those so inclined, and things like marinated mushrooms and roasted vegetables.
I remember going to the museum when I was a kid, back when it was called the Denver Museum of Natural History. They had a little cafeteria on the 2nd or 3rd floor that was on par with a hospital cafeteria. But their current cafeteria rocks, at least in the salad bar area.
One of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon is to go to the museum cafeteria for a big salad for lunch, then hang out writing on my laptop in the atrium a couple hours, then heading over to Hooked on Colfax for a hot drink and scone. In fact, that’s exactly what I did today.
