Here’s the announcement for a theater production I’m in next month. I’ve got a few small parts on stage, plus I’m the sound designer and musical director. And I have a small part in a short film that’s part of the show. Last year’s production sold out and we had to turn dozens of friends… Continue reading Conviviality Love Circus

Ah, it’s got Nutrasweet!
I figured out why the new Coca-Cola BlaK has only 45 calories (see yesterday’s blog entry, below). It’s because it’s got a mix of high fructose corn syrup and aspartame (Nutrasweet) as sweeteners! The coffee flavor does a pretty good job of masking the hideous taste of the aspartame.
Coca-Cola BlaK
Have you heard of this new beverage from Coca-Cola? They’re calling it “Coca-Cola BlaK“. I saw it at the store today so I had to buy one to try. According to the company’s press release: Coca-Cola BlaK is a sophisticated, premium blend of Coca-Cola, natural flavors and coffee essence. The effervescence and rich flavor of… Continue reading Coca-Cola BlaK
Our Bahamas vacation
Last night, Beth and I got back home from our big vacation of the year. We went to the Bahamian island of Andros, where we stayed several days at a dive resort called Small Hope Bay Lodge. Andros is the largest and least explored island in the Bahamas. Small Hope Bay is an all-inclusive dive-oriented… Continue reading Our Bahamas vacation
Four Colorado Ungulates
You know what I didn’t mention in the my short blog entry about the drive to Wyoming last weekend? For only the 3rd time in my life, I saw moose, elk, deer, and pronghorn (antelope) in the same day. One of the previous times was in Yellowstone, and the other was driving to the Denver… Continue reading Four Colorado Ungulates
rafting
Last weekend was the first of what I hope will be many raft trips this season. About 14 of us went to southern Wyoming for a day trip on the North Platte. I paddled my inflatable kayak in the morning and then switched to the oar boat in the afternoon. Zip wanted me to learn… Continue reading rafting
catching up
Man, it’s been a long time. I suppose if you were one of the three people who actually tried to read my blog in that time, you’d think, “How boring. Nothing’s going on.” Case in point: one of those three people left me a comment to that effect. And yet, the truth is just the… Continue reading catching up
my first Mac, part 2
Well, I spent Saturday morning clearing stuff out of my studio and getting it ready for sale on eBay. That was to create the room for my PowerMac setup. So, in the afternoon I finally got around to setting the thing up. I upgraded to the latest OS version, configured it all how I think… Continue reading my first Mac, part 2
my movies
Occasionally, a friend or family member asks me to let them know when one of the movies I’ve been working on is showing. Well, I won’t be at either of these showings, but… “Seven Cups of Joe” is showing this Thursday (3/9/2006) at Starz Filmcenter in the Tivoli. I acted and did sound editing on… Continue reading my movies
needed feature for iPod: More Like This
I don’t know why Apple didn’t put this feature in the iPod, but I regularly find myself wanting it. I often listen to my iPod in shuffle mode, which plays a quasi-random selection of the music currently on the iPod. Occasionally, I hear a song I haven’t heard in a while, and I want to… Continue reading needed feature for iPod: More Like This
