Beth and I finally went to see the latest Bond movie, “Quantum of Solace.” I enjoyed it quite a bit more than I expected! Everyone I talked to said it wasn’t as good as “Casino Royale” but I’m not sure I agree. And if you’re having trouble parsing that sentence, it means I think it… Continue reading Quantum of Solace

The first two discs I bought are “Blade Runner” and “The Fifth Element”. Last night, I watched parts of “Blade Runner” in 1080/24p and tonight I’m… Continue reading cool new TV and a strange coincidence

We had an awesome birthday party last Saturday night – probably the biggest birthday party I’ve ever had. I think there were about 35 people in attendance. It had a “spaghetti western” theme, so people… Continue reading I can no longer deny it: I’m in my late 30s
some recent movies
I watched “Garden State” last night. I’d heard about it since it came out, and thought it just didn’t seem like my kind of movie. I was wrong. I really liked it. I thought it was some pretty good writing. Plus it’s got some awesome acting in it. Natalie Portman plays a character that is… Continue reading some recent movies
